Invited by School of Mechatronics Engineering, Henan University of Science and Technology (HUST), Dr. Wen Tianyou, Manager of SKF (China) Engineering Technology Center & Programs Development, presented an academic lecture on ˇ¶Smoothing effect of ceramic rolling elements on bearing raceway under contaminated lubricationˇ·on the afternoon of April 17. Held in No.9 Academic Lecture Hall, the lecture attracted over 200 attendees, including teachers, postgraduates and senior undergraduates.
Dr. Wen started his lecture with the analysis of globally sustainable development and expatiated on some SKF ideology & actions. After introducing their several public interest activities in China, he explained the performance differences between ceramic balls rolling bearings and steel balls rolling bearings as to the requirements for properties of rolling bearings in some particular situation, such as high-temperature resistant, corrosion resistant, electric insulation, etc. Most importantly, he analyzed the smoothing effect of ceramic rolling elements on bearing raceway under contaminated lubrication. Finally, Dr. Wen carefully answered all of questions asked by attendees.
Reportedly, both teachers and students showed great interest in the lecture. Indeed, they learned much new ideology and knowledge from it. Meanwhile, this lecture offered them some new methods for scientific research on bearings in the future.
