Schaeffler Ningxia Plant Groundbreaking

FAG Railway Bearing (Ningxia) Co., Ltd will invest 800 Million Yuan in establishing a new plant in Yinchuan Economic Technology Development Zone, aiming to respond to the increasingly sophisticated needs of the middle and large bearings from wind power, steel equipment, concrete and paper making industry.

Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler and her son Georg F. W. Schaeffler, partners of the Schaeffler Group were invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony, in the presence of prominent personalities from the government and local businesses on April 16. Mr. Chen Jianguo, the Director of Autonomous Region expressed his appreciation to Schaeffler for their contribution to Ningxia Economics and hoped to have a futher coopertion with them.

With an area of 11,000 square meters, the new facility is expected to completed in 2009.

At Schaeffler China a total of 3,300 staff is employed at three plants (Taicang and Ningxia) and 11 sales offices throughout the country.
