NSK Establishes Large Technical Center in China

NSK will invest 4.4 billion Yen in establishing a large technical center in Jiangsu Province, China. This new center is expected to come online in 2009, which will have the manufacturing and sales capabilities to respond to the increasingly sophisticated needs of the Chinese automotive and machine tool markets. NSK hopes to further strength their business presence in China though innovation and cooperation with Chinese users.
With register capital of 2.2 billion yen, NSK Jiangsu Techinical Center, including research building and experiment building, will cover an area of 16000 square meters. About 100 Chinese technicians will be employed when it is online, and the number is expected to reach 300 in 2011.
Besides bearings for construction machinery and machine tools, the new center will develop gear box, bearings for wheel control and other special bearings. All equipment introduced will be the same as the NSKĄ¯s technical center in Japan.
The NSK Jiangsu Technical Center hopes to make its contribution to the Chinese market by providing technically innovative solutions to the changing needs of the Chinese domestic market, particular in the area of automotive and construction industry.
